The Japanese proverb:"Nana korobi ya oki" translated means, "Fall down seven times, get up eight." My aunt has had this proverb hanging on her bathroom wall, right beside the mirror, since I was a child.

The proverb speaks to resilience. No matter how many times we get knocked down; we must stand up. ᴏɴᴇ•ᴍᴏʀᴇ•ᴛɪᴍᴇ.

If you're human, this life experience has served up a hot plate of sh*t for you, a few hundred, thousand times. But you're no p*ssy *ss b*tch, are you? Nah. Napes. Negative. You are a motha f*ckin ninja, yo!

You know, when a child throws a tantrum on the floor they're: screaming, kicking, whining, most often because they aren't going to get their way.

Welcome to life kid.

Sh*t isn't going to always go our way. Le duh. But laying on the floor, fighting the flow of what is and not what we wish it to be, isn't productive. It isn't very attractive either.

Have you ever heard the saying, "learn to take a punch"? Or if you're into sports, "learn how to fall gracefully"? Learn.

If you are a l i v e, you're going to get knocked down. You're going to have your: self-worth, self-esteem and self-image rattled to the core.

You don't need to be a master of self from go but, you do need to know how to ɢᴇᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰ*ᴄᴋ ᴜᴘ when life and it's implicit battles take you down. That, is resilience. And ʏᴏᴜ, ᴀʀᴇ ʀᴇꜱɪʟɪᴇɴᴛ.

You wanna roll around a bit and be fugly in your disapproval and disagreement with the forces of the universe and all of creation a bit before you a c c e p t it. Cool; do that. But, life is going to keep on rolling, and sucker punching your *ss until you figure out the lesson(s) it is presenting you.

No one is judging how many times you've fallen. No one even f*cking cares! We are way to self-centered in our existence to really pay attention in detail to someone else's personal process(es). And, most of the time the greater population is down with you, not hovering above you. Think about that.

I don't care how many times you've fallen. In fact, I'll send you a kiss to mend your booboo(s) and extend a hand to lift you up. But, I won't allow you to believe that falling is failing. It is a process and you will make progress ᴇᴠᴇʀʏ. ᴛɪᴍᴇ. ʏᴏᴜ. ʀɪꜱᴇ. xox
