In the 1986 film, Labyrinth, Jennifer Connelly is Sarah, a teen who journeys through 'dangers untold and hardships unnumbered' to save her brother Toby from the Goblin King, played by David Bowie. Creative mastermind Jim Hensen writes her character a line which she is troubled to recite until she conquers the labyrinth and stands before Bowie, the Goblin King, and she says, "Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City to take back the child you have stolen, for my will is as strong as yours and my kingdom as great. You have no power over me!"

See, here is the thing: we are all battling some form of a "Goblin King" to save, reclaim, return home with our own stolen inner child. We have all traversed, "dangers untold and hardships unnumbered". But,

is your will as strong as the villian(s) who seek to destroy you? Is your kingdom as great?

Uhm, pfff*cK yesss!

No person, no place, no thing-

No thought, no belief, no emotion-

has power over: you, me, us.

Power, is permitted.

Nothing can penetrate without permission.

You are strong and sovereign. Your words are powerful. Next time you feel inhibited, speak this ep!c line to life:

ᴍʏ ᴡɪʟʟ ɪꜱ ᴀꜱ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ,

ᴍʏ ᴋɪɴɢᴅᴏᴍ ᴀꜱ ɢʀᴇᴀᴛ.
