In our high-speed, digitized world where technology rules, we are consumed with: performance, production, products, programs and perfection. Our feelings arrive, arise and appear an inconvenience to our routine programming.
However, our innate wisdom activates feelings to interrupt our mindlessly scheduled, monotonous, robotic programming to help us remember:
we are ɴᴏᴛ machines.
We ꜰᴇᴇʟ because we are very much ᴀʟɪᴠᴇ. And to be alive is implicitly: to grow, change, shift and evolve.
Take a moment and recognize you feel like sh¡t. Granted this particular feeling may not be one of your favorite experiences, but, it is ɴᴇᴄᴇꜱꜱᴀʀʏ at this juncture.
It is an ᴏᴘᴘᴏʀᴛᴜɴɪᴛʏ and an ɪɴᴠɪᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴ to ᴅᴏ something about it.
Einstein defined, "insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." We are, at times, without a doubt, insane and illogical beings who rewind and repeat cycles, situations, scenarios, stories and behaviors mindlessly. But, we possess the power of mindfulness and the gift of discernment: the ability to see and understand people, things, or situations clearly and intelligently, in order to ᴀᴄᴛ ᴀᴄᴄᴏʀᴅɪɴɢʟʏ. Recognizing we feel less than ideal is the first step to doing something about it.
But, ᴡʜᴀᴛ do we ᴅᴏ?!
ᴡʜᴀᴛ is not important.
Taking action to shift a pattern of negative thoughts, experiences, emotions, and associations is not always easy. But, it has to be done. Otherwise we are back to square one and we feel like sh¡t. ᴛʜᴀᴛ•ɪꜱ•ɴᴏᴛ•ᴛʜᴇ•ɢᴏᴀʟ.
So, we ᴅᴏ: ꜱᴏᴍᴇthing, ᴀɴʏthing, ᴅɪꜰꜰᴇʀᴇɴᴛ than that which we have done repeatedly and unsuccessfully.
We have been programmed to hide our emotions and expected to overcome trauma(s) effortlessly, which, is unrealistic to say the least.
Feeling anything less than awesome isn’t fun. Neither is harboring resentment,
living in an endless loop of insanity and needlessly suffering.
ʀᴇᴍᴇᴍʙᴇʀ that you are a human:
ᴀᴄᴄᴇᴘᴛ what you feel in the moment.
ᴀʟʟᴏᴡ yourself to come completely undone.
ʀᴇᴄᴏɢɴɪᴢᴇ the invitation: to grow, change, shift and evolve.
ꜱɪᴇᴢᴇ the opportunity by taking action.
